Combined Building-Mechanical Permits

The following information has been summarized from the Los Angeles Municipal Code.

A combined building-mechanical permit allows the permittee to obtain a single permit for all building, electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilating and air conditioning work in lieu of obtaining separate permits.

Combined building-mechanical permits are only allowed when the electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilating and/or air conditioning work is necessary and in conjunction with the building work being performed and only for work on single family dwellings and duplexes.
