Zoning Information

Zoning Information for a particular property can be obtained by:

Internet
Parcel Profile Report
A report that displays the zoning information for most parcels within the City of Los Angeles that can be identified by address or property tax bill number.
 
Restoration of Damaged Buildings (Rebuild Letter Request)
A self-serve, on-line system that generates the "Rebuild Letter" to confirm rebuild-ability rights for buildings.
   
Retrieve previously paid Rebuild Letter
 
Zoning Letter
A self-serve, on-line system that generates the "Zoning Letter" to provide ONLY the current zone information of your property.
   
Retrieve previously paid Zoning Letter
 

ZIMAS (Zone Information Map Access System)
A system that displays the zoning information of parcels within the city of Los Angeles. Parcels may be searched and identified by address, legal description, street intersection, or assessor's parcel number.

     
Telephone
The City's 311 Call Center refers zoning questions to our Engineer and Inspecotr. Customers calling within Los Angeles County area may call 311 or (866) 4LA-CITY/(866) 452-2489. Customers calling outside of Los Angeles County who need information in the Los Angeles city jurisdiction may call (213) 473-3231.
     
In-Writing
Specific zoning or building code related questions can be inquire via written request to the Zoning Engineer at 201 N . Figueroa Street, 10th Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90012 with the proper fees.
     
Fax
Zone information on a property can also be obtained via fax for any area of the City. Simply click on the word fax for a faxable form and fax numbers.
     
In-Person
General zoning information regarding zone, height district, lot size, ordinances, easements, etc. and copies of the zoning map for requested property is available for the public by visiting any of our LADBS district offices.

Questions regarding the zoning information received via internet, telephone, in-writing, or fax can also be answered by visiting any of our LADBS district offices.
